Nancy “Sue” Dillon, 84, of Bicknell, passed away March 2, 2019, at Bridgepoint Health Campus, Vincennes. Sue was born on July 21, 1934, in Bicknell, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Lucile (Highsmith) Wright. She married Paul Dillon in 1956 and he survives.
Sue was a telephone operator and later in life was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, where she was the chairwoman of the Fish Fries and Bereavement Dinners. Sue was awarded the Brute Society Medal in 1993 which recognizes models of outstanding Christian stewardship. She loved to read, travel, dance, and spend time with her family and friends.
Along with her husband, Sue is survived by children, Elaine (Bruce) Pepmeier of Freelandville, John (Dana) Dillon of Bicknell, Jim (Mindy) Dillon also of Bicknell. Eight grandchildren, Blake (McKenna) Dillon, Kelsey Pepmeier, Clint Pepmeier, Bailey (Isaac) Finley, Lauren (Chance) DeHosse, Macy, Hannah, and Jacob Dillon. And great-grandchildren Brody Finley and Baby DeHosse who is on the way. Her parents, brother Tom and sister Barbara preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 605 W. 4th St. Bicknell, Indiana 47512. A second visitation will be held from 9 A.M. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Monday March 11, 2019 also at the Church, with Father Tim Tenbarge officiating. Burial will follow in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the St. Philip Neri Building Fund towards the construction of a new parish hall.
