Meaghan Jo (Buescher) Meeks

Meaghan Jo Meeks, 32, Oaktown, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. Meaghan was born January 22, 1986, in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of John and Tina (Stephens) Buescher. She married Cody Meeks on July 14, 2007. Meaghan earned a Masters in pediatric care and she was employed as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.  During her time at Good Samaritan Hospital, Meaghan held several positions including floor nurse in Pediatrics/OB, as a Clinical Educator for the hospital, and most recently as a Pediatric Hospitalist in OB/Pediatrics.

Meaghan is survived by her husband, Cody Meeks of Oaktown; children, Reid, Parker and Tessa Meeks; father, John Buescher of Edwardsport; sisters, Abby (Shawn) Nieb of Freelandville and Eliza Givens of Bicknell; brother-in-law, Luke (Jerricha) Meeks; nephews, Grayson Nieb, Maddyx Nieb, Kyle Givens, Dylan Givens, Ethan Givens, Jaxon Meeks and Gavin Meeks; nieces, Keylee and Madlynn Nieb; grandmother, Patty Buescher; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Tina; grandparents, Henry and Darlene Stephens; grandfather, Ralph Buescher. 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Church in Freelandville, Indiana, with Pastors John Moreland and Mike DeCoursey officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM also at the church with the Nursing Guard Ceremony beginning at 6:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a college fund set up for her children. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Oaktown Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
