Mary Alice Thompson

Mary Alice Thompson, 77, of Evansville went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on September 23, 1941 to the late Walter Purcell and Mary (Sterling) Purcell.  She worked as a florist and was passionate about designing uniquely beautiful pieces. Mary enjoyed being outdoors, playing golf, boating, and spending time with her family.  She leaves behind her loving family; two daughters,Julie Rolley (Barry) of Evansville, Rae Jean Bicknell of Evansville; one brother, Walter Purcell Jr. (Claudia) of Vincennes; Grandchildren, L’Erin Rae Twitty of Henderson, KY., Terrin Rene’ Caldwell (David) of Newburgh, Jessica Dennis (Hombra) of Henderson, KY.; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Mary was preceded in death by; her devoted husband, Donald G. Bicknell; and brother, Larry Purcell.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. EST Friday, March 1, 2019 at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt, Bicknell Chapel 109 East 6th Street Bicknell, IN 47512, with visitation from 11:00 A.M. EST until the time of service.
