Marion A. Finch, 92, of Vincennes passed away August 26, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born on November 1, 1926, in Blue Island IL, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Krezik) Cizmar. She married Joseph C. Finch and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of the St. Francis Xavier Parish; the St. Ann’s Altar Society and the picnic noodle makers, she was also a Eucharist minister for the homebound and nursing homes. Marion was awarded the Simon Bruté Award from Arch-Bishop Charles Thompson in 2012.
Marion is survived by her children; Cathleen (Stephen) Claycomb of Indianapolis, Patricia Finch of Paris, IL, Mary Konig and companion Forrest Burton of Loogootee, Joseph (Janie) Finch of Vincennes, Marie (John) Finch-Hibner of Indianapolis, Martha (John) Finch-Anderson of Vincennes, and William Finch of Vincennes. Three sisters, Elaine Haskell of Downers Grove, IL, Betty DeBias of Detroit, MI, and Helen Gioiosa of Tinley Park, IL. 16 grandchildren; Stephen (Lauren) Claycomb, Carrie (Richie) Claycomb-King, Sarah Will, Ellen (Brian) Price, Ben Brouillette, Joseph Finch, Julia (Tanner) McGowan, Will, Augie (Katie), Louise and Louie Hibner, John, Jacob and Janine Anderson, Isabella and Austin Finch. 9 great grandchildren; Richie and Joseph King, John and Madison Will, Henry Price, Gus, Charlotte and Lena Hibner and baby McGowan. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by; her husband, parents, daughter-in-law, Janet Finch, son-in-law Ron Konig, two brothers; Rudy and Peter and four sisters; Mildred, Martha, Anna and Agnes.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday August 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2004 N. 2nd St. Vincennes, IN 47591. Visitation will be on Thursday August 29, 2019 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Fredrick & Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St., Vincennes, IN 47591. The Rosary will be said following visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Education Foundation or the Rivet Athletic Booster Club.
