Margaret Ann Langdon

Margaret Ann Langdon, 78, Freelandville, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Margaret was born March 24, 1939, in Mitcham Surrey, England, the daughter of Christopher V. and May B. (Vinall) Hallpike. She married Dwight A. Langdon on June 18, 1976. She was a homemaker and worked in the United Kingdom and Australia. Margaret was a member of the Bethel Church, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary from 1981 to 1995, a Girl Scout Leader from 1983 to 1990, and an Oaktown High School Alumni.
Margaret is survived by her children, Debra (Carl) VanPatten of Washington and George (Renee) Langdon of Huntingburg; step-daughter, Cyndy Bettis of Newnan, Georgia; 6 grandchildren; four step-grandchidlren; one great-granddaughter; three step-greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight on August 25, 1994; sister, Betty Hallpike; and brothers, Peter and William Hallpike.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM also at the funeral home with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Arlington Cemetery.
