Marceline L Butler

Marceline L. Butler, 79, Vincennes, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Gentle Care Nursing Home. Marceline was born August 9, 1937, in Vincennes, the daughter of Wilbur and Clara (Oexmann) Vollmer. She was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School and attended Vincennes University. She married Ronald Butler in December 1957. She owned M & R Dolls in Florida and owned Scruples Clothing Store in Vincennes. She is a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and the St. Peter Ladies Guild. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering.
Marceline is survived by her daughter, Joy Griffin of Clermont, FL; grandchildren, Hope Griffin, Diana Songer and Ronald Butler; great-grandchild, Chloe Songer; sister, Rosalie (Larry) Klemann of Vincennes; sisters-in-law, Billie Bloebaum and Ruth Ann Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, in 2002; parents; and sons, Gregory and Tim Butler.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to time of service also at the church with Pastor Nathan Rastl and Pastor Ron Maxwell officiating. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
