Lois Ann (Nightingale) Doll

Lois Ann (Nightingale) Doll 80, of Vincennes, passed away July 6, 2019 in her home surrounded by family.  She was born on November 21, 1938, in Vincennes, the daughter of Richard and Hazel (Williams) Nightingale. On May 30, 1957 she married Robert B. Doll and he preceded her in death.

Lois worked as a seamstress at Gossard Manufacturing; she loved reading, puzzles, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Lois was a member of the Southside Presbyterian Church, The Eastern Star, and was the president of the Bingo club. Lois was the Organist and Pianist at South Side for several years. She played at many weddings and funerals. She also served as an Elder and Treasurer of the church.

She is survived by her children: Janice Doll, Steven (Michelle) Doll, William (Jamie) Doll, Larry (Allison) Doll, and Cheryl (Jerry) Otten. A sister, Marjorie Land a brother, Jerry Nightingale, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Eugene and James Nightingale a sister Mary Nunley and her beloved pet Rowdy.

Visitation will be Friday July 12, 2019, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. Vincennes, Indiana 47591. Funeral Services will be on Saturday July 13 at 10:00 A.M. also at the Funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
