James Elliott Roberts

James Elliott Roberts, 92, Terre Haute, formerly of Carlisle, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at Meadows Manor East in Terre Haute. James was born March 9, 1925, in Carlisle, the son of Raymond A. and Bernice (McConnel) Roberts. He married Betty June Turner. He was a coal miner.
James is survived by his children, Mary Beth Roberts of Terre Haute and Shindy (Debbie) Roberts of Lawrenceville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
A private graveside service will be held at the Carlisle Oddfellows Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gentiva Hospice, 323 Metro Ave. Evansville, IN 47715.
