Helen L. Hunt

Helen Louise (Anderson) Hunt, 92, Edwardsport, passed away January 4, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on June 12, 1925, in Edwardsport, to Ira M. and Grace Leone (Wright) Anderson and graduated from Edwardsport High School in 1943. She graduated from the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She was a member of the Edwardsport Christian Church, a retired nurse having worked at both the hospital and the Freelandville Community Home, and took care of many family members and friends during her lifetime.
Survivors include her four children: Ruth Ann Hunt and Charles A. Hunt, both of Edwardsport, Sara Becher of Henryville and Leah (Scot) Hamilton of Evansville; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Brian) Haycraft of Henryville, David Becher of Kaiderslautern, Germany, Whitney Hunt of Evansville, Jessica (Josh) Williams of Evansville and Jacob Hamilton, of Evansville; seven great-grandchildren: Tyler, Conner, Mackenna, Easton, Haylee, Jacob, and Kayla; and brother: Myrwin Wright (Jan) Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hunt Jr.; her parents, Ira M. and Grace Leone Anderson; and son-in-law, Michael Becher.
Per her request, funeral services and a visitation will not be held. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Edwardsport IOOF Cemetery with Pastor Bryan Taylor officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael L.
