Gladys H. (Begeman) Hislip

Gladys H. Hislip, 95, of Oaktown, passed away November 05, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. Gladys was born Saturday, April 26, 1924, in Freelandville Indiana, the Daughter of William and Julia (Kirchoff) Begeman. She married Delbert Hislip on April 27th, 1961, in Vincennes Indiana. Gladys worked as a Secretary for Widner Mutual Insurance, and was also a member of Freelandville Christian Church.
Gladys is survived by children Robert and Charisse Harkless of Las Flores California, Pamela and Jeffrey Anderson of Oaktown Indiana, 5 grandchildren C.J. Hayes and his wife Jordan, Chase Harkless, Shalaina Harkless and Kira Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Julia (Kirchoff) Begeman, husband Delbert Hislip, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 grandson Aaron Hayes. Funeral Services will take place at 6:30 P.M. November 11, 2019 at the Freelandville Christian Church 313 E. State Road 58 Edwardsport In 47528 with Larry Schultz officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until the time of the service also at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made in Gladys's memory to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
