Virginia Lou McNew

Virginia Lou McNew, 74, Bicknell, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Freelandville Community Home. Virginia was born February 8, 1943, in Vincennes, the daughter of Oscar and Martha (Hefty) Twitty. She married Richard McNew. She worked as a housekeeper for the New Willow Manor. She enjoyed playing poker, Texas Hold ‘Em with her boys, crocheting, going to yard sales, antiques and her family. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Richard (Vickie Neal) McNew of Bicknell and Stephen (Robin Allen) McNew of Vincennes; grandchildren, Nikki, Emily and Chris D. Lee; brother, Johnny Twitty of Vincennes; sister, Maxine Burlington of Kansas City; and several nieces and nephews,

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; companion, Red Carpenter; and sons, James and Frank McNew.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ronald Diehl officiating at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until time of service also at the funeral home.
