Van Allen Lucas

Van Allen Lucas, 61, Vincennes, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Van was born September 10, 1956, in Vincennes, the son of Lawrence and Nellie Faye (Johnson) Lucas. He married Debbie Richardson on November 5, 1976. He was an office manager at Fortner Pest Control. He enjoyed making Indian jewelry, making walking sticks, helping animals, being outdoors, horse races and the mountains. 
Van is survived by his wife, Debbie, of Wheatland; children, Chrissy (Scott) Reeves of Vincennes and Nicole (Donnie) Driskill of Wheatland; sister, Judy (Larry) McCoy of Monroe City; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and brother, Larry Ray.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. with Scott Soderling officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service also at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
