Steven C. Ward

Steven C. “Steve” Ward, 56, Bicknell, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at his residence. Steve was born February 8, 1961, in Flint, MI, the son of Donald L. and Ruth Ann (Yorks) Ward. He married Alice F. Hoffman on December 14, 2002. He was self-employed, working Zachry Construction in Mt. Carmel, IL, then owned and operated Steve Ward Construction. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and loved his dogs. He was a member of the Harvest Bible Chapel in Vincennes.
Steve is survived by his wife, Alice Ward of Bicknell; children, Trista Ward of Mt. Morris, MI, Crystal Peterson of Springfield, MO, David Damon of Mt. Morris, MI and Duane Damon of Burton, MI; sisters, Shellia (Steve) Gilbert and Tamara (Rob) Corkwell; and brother-in-law, David Scheans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ruth Ann Ward; sister, Theresa Scheans; and niece, Angela Secoy; and brother-in-law, Bob Secoy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Ryan Lowery officiating at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM also at the funeral home.
