Michael Robert Cook

Michael Robert Cook, 68, Bruceville, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at his home in Bruceville with family by his side. Michael was born October 22, 1948, in Knox County, the son of Robert and Alta (Kirk) Cook. He was a graduated of North Knox High School. He married Norma Ruth Ruggles on June 28, 1993. He was a retired UMWA coal miner. He was an avid hunter, especially ducks, and boating on the Wabash River. He was a member of the Vincennes VFW Post 1157, Bicknell French Club, where he was a former trustee. He was a member of the Bruceville Methodist Church. Mike served in the United States Marines, having served in Vietnam. He was also a Disabled American Vet.
Michael is survived by his wife, Norma; mother, Alta Cook of Vincennes; son, Troy of Bruceville; brother, Donald (Lisa) Cook of Bruceville; sister, Virginia (Ron) Argenta of Vincennes; his beloved dog, Easter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Kathy Willis.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bruceville Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
