Margaret A Cardinal

Margaret A. Cardinal, 83, Bruceville, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Gentle Care Nursing Home. Margaret was born October 30, 1933, in Vincennes, the daughter of Allen and Anna (Hawkins) Fisher. She married Charles Edward Cardinal on October 16, 1954. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, extended family and church family, gardening, reading, cooking and making peanut brittle. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and helped with bereavement dinners for the church.
Margaret is survived by her children, Don (Debbie) Cardinal of Bicknell, Steve (Jan) Cardinal of Granger, IN, Marlene (Gabe) Mehringer of Jasper, Tim (Linda) Cardinal, Doug (Donna) Cardinal, and Larry (Lori) Cardinal, all of Bruceville; grandchildren, Joe Cardinal, Megan Clabbers, Anna Seacat, Alicia Yenne, Ashley Paxson, Robert Cardinal, Craig Cardinal, Andrea Dittmer, Angela Wonning, Ryan Cardinal, Janelle Mehringer, Lauren Cardinal and Zach Cardinal; nineteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; and sister, Ruth (Gerald) Hendricks of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles on February 25, 2005; sisters, Betty Guerrettaz, June Ray and Norma Grove; and brother, Bill Fisher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Dave Fleck officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 12:45 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
