Kenneth Wayne Groteguth, 74, Freelandville, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Oak Village Nursing Home. Kenneth was born December 3, 1943, in Sullivan, the son of Edward and Helen (Nierste) Groteguth. He married Darla McKeighan on October 23, 1970. He owned and operated Western Auto in Bicknell. He also was a farmer and later was the department manager in the sporting goods at Walmart. He loved to travel and spending time with his friends, family and his buddy, Cujo.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Darla Groteguth of Freelandville; sons, Troy (Angel) Groteguth of Freelandville, Tim (Julie) Groteguth of Oaktown and Brandon (Jessica) Groteguth of Oaktown; daughter, Kyrah (Max) Bratton of Bicknell; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and niece, Jill (Thomas) Woodburn of Bicknell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ron Groteguth.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mariah Creek Christian Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at the church with Rev. Matt Hoffman officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mariah Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
