Joe Burton Kirchoff

Joe Burton Kirchoff, 85 Freelandville, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Joe was born December 17, 1931, in Knox County, the son of Harold and Dorothy (Morford) Kirchoff. He married Judith Louise Berry on August 26, 1950. He was a farmer and in charge of the Freelandville Christian Church Cemetery. He was a member of the Freelandville Christian Church and a deacon for nearly 70 years.

Joe is survived by his wife, Judith of Freelandville; sons Tom Kirchoff (Vickie Perkinson) of Freelandville and Terry (Cindy J.) Kirchoff of Newburgh; five grandchildren, Tim, Dustyn, Jon, Shelly and Jaclyn Kirchoff; great-grandchildren, Zayta, Jacob, Zane, McKayla, Zairyn, Caden and Zaxtyn Kirchoff.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim Kirchoff; great-grandson, Caleb Joe Kirchoff; brother, Bob Kirchoff; and sister, Marge Danke.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Freelandville Christian Church with Pastor Larry Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM also at the church. He will be laid to rest at Freelandville Christian Church Cemetery.
