Edward Arnold Owens

Edward Arnold “Ed” Owens, 66, Bicknell, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Ed was born March 2, 1951, the son of Harlan Ross and Louise (Jones) Owens. He married Pamela Meier on September 12, 1970. Ed retired from Duke Energy as an operator mechanic and also retired from the Bicknell Fire Department. He was a member of the Bicknell French Club, life member of the Disabled American Vets, an avid hunter and fisherman. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, serving two tours.

Ed is survived his wife, Pamela of Bicknell; children, Clint (Tabatha) Owens of Vincennes, Zachary Owens of Bicknell; grandsons, Simon Bault of Spencer, IN and Dryden Owens of Vincennes; brothers, Harlan (Barb) Owens Jr. of Clayton, NY, Leland J. (Nancy) Owens of Avon, IN and Mark (Liz) Owens of Oaktown;  sisters, Lora (Herman) Smith of Huntsville, AL and Lisa Trinkle of Vincennes; and sister-in-law, Arlene Owens of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Michael Owens.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel. Funeral services will be held immediately after visitation at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home with Jeff Owens officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
